Today we spent the day exploring one of the biggest Cities in the Buryatia Region. First stop was another visit to a Buddhist Temple. The first animal to reach enlightenment was the Musk and so one of the temples in the grounds was dedicated to the Musk and we were able to feed a couple of them. The Green Tara Godess was another that was a highlight. The stone that was brought from Tibet that she walked on placed in the grounds and if you walk to the stone with your eyes closed and then reach the stone rubbing it with both hands she will help you. We also saw Lama Itigelov who died in the lotus position and is still in that same position after being exhumed.
Next stop after lunch was an open air museum ... waiting in the car park we saw another wedding - so of course had to get a photo! One of the houses in the museum was relocated from the position that the hotel we are staying in is now standing - owned by a well known Doctor.
Most towns and Cities have a statue of Lenin and street named after him. This one being quite different with just his head. Late night departure on the train heading for Lake Baikal.
