Woke to flat dessert, gorgeous blue skies, an Eagle, herds of goat, horses, cattle and camel. Every now and then there is a small village in the middle of nowhere or a station with people selling bottled drinks or packaged snacks.
We had our breakfast of porridge before heading down to the restaurant car where I suspect we will spend quite a bit of time, chatting to fellow travellers and watching the world go by (the view is better in the restaurant car as well).
The scenery changed again as we got closer to Ulaanbataar - it is not as dry here so many more
trees and green grass

After arriving at the hotel we madly read Facebook comments and posted the blog that we had prepared on our travels through China before heading out to a cultural Show of Throat singing, dancing and music.
We then Headed to a Restaurant called Monglian Nomads where we ate a few different types of meat with a sprinkling of vegies.
Mongolia looks wonderful, I love looking out the window of a train at nothing as there is actually a lot out there. Glad their is a lounge/restaurant car to enjoy it from. The photo in this post of your cabin is better it is really quite big, I like the little lounge chair. Dianne looks like she is making light work of that very large knife!
